LESSSON OUTLINE :
Activity 1  What's in the Title?
1. Guide all students to talk about the title, "Knowing Me, Knowing You".
2. Ask the following questions:
◦  What do the words, "Knowing Me" mean?
◦  What do the words, "Knowing You" mean?

Activity 2  Family Get Together
1. Draw all students' attention to the picture.
2. Teacher asks the following questions:
◦  What do you see in this picture?
◦  Who are the people in the picture?
◦  What are they doing?

Activity 1  Family Tree
1. Get students to look at the picture.
2. Ask students the following questions
◦  What do you see in this picture?
◦  Who are the people in the picture?

Activity 2  Listen and Say Aloud
1. Play the Audio-Video DVD to allow students to listen and practise saying aloud the targeted vocabulary.
2. Pause after each word to allow all students to internalise the targeted vocabulary.
3. Ensure that all students participate actively.  Replay if necessary.

Activity 3  My Friend
1. Get students to introduce themselves.
2. Students work in pairs.  Find out the following information about their friends.
◦  Name
◦  Age
◦  Hobby
◦  Favourite food
3. Introduce their friends to the class.

2. To practise sentence patterns used for introducing oneself and one's pet
DURATION : 80 MINUTES
LESSSON OUTLINE :
Activity 1  Get to know my pet
1. Draw students' attention to the pictures.
2. Get students to talk about the pictures by asking the following questions.
◦  What do you see in the pictures?
◦  What do you think this video is about?
3. Play the audio-video DVD.  Get students to watch the video and listen to the sentence patterns.

Activity 2  Pause and Practise
1.Play the audio-video DVD and pause at the targeted sentence patterns.
2. At every pause, teacher will ask questions to help students be aware of the sentence patterns used for talking about one's pet.
3. Questions asked must allow students to use the sentence patterns in their answers.
4.  Teacher asked questions to elicit personal responses from the students.
◦  What other animals do people keep as pets?
◦  Why do people have pets?
◦  What animal do you like to have as a pet?
◦  How do you take care of a pet?
5. Ensure that all students participate actively.  Replay and pause if necessary.

LESSSON OUTLINE :
Activity 1  Look and Share
1. Draw students' attention to the pictures.
2. Ask the following questions:
◦  What do you see in this pictures?
3. Get students to work in pairs.  Students look at the pictures and share what they see in the pictures.
4. Remind and encourage students to use the sentence patterns learned.  Model the sentence patterns if necessary.
5. Students ask and answer questions based on the pictures. The following questions are asked by students to interview their partners.
◦  What animal do you want as a pet?
◦  What hobby do you like?
◦  What is your favourite sport? / What sport do you like?
◦  What do you want to be when you grow up?
Example:
◦  I want a rabbit as a pet.
◦  I like playing marbles.
◦  I like playing badminton.
◦  I want to be a fireman.
6. Invite all students to share with the class. Talk about their findings from the interviews.

Activity 2  Bingo!
1. Get all students to interview their classmates.
2. Students ask the following questions during the interview.
◦  What animal do you want as a pet?
◦  What hobby do you like?
◦  What is your favourite sport? / What sport do you like?
◦  What do you want to be when you grow up?
3. They find three students who want to have the same pet, hobby, sport or ambition.
4. They will shout out "Bingo" when they find three classmates who have the same pet, hobby, sport or ambition.
They say the names of the three students and report on the pet, hobby, sport and ambition that they like.

DURATION : 80 MINUTES
LESSSON OUTLINE :
Activity 1  Hot Seat! (B2DL1E1)
1. Draw students' attention to the picture.
2. Ask the following questions:
◦  What do you see in the picture?
◦  What are they doing?
3. Tell students that they are going to play a game called "Hot Seat".
4. Divide students into groups of six.
5. Students form a circle.  Give a ball to each group.
6. The student who gets the ball will stand in the centre of the circle.
7. Every student takes turn to ask the student standing in the centre of the circle the following questions:
•       What is your name?
•       Who is your best friend?
•       What is your pet?
•       What is your hobby?
•       What is your ambition?
8. Once the student in the centre of the circle has answered all the questions, he or she passes the ball to the next student.
9. This process goes on until all the students have had a chance to be in the centre of the circle.
10. Remind students that they cannot write down any notes.

Activity 2  Tell Us
1.  Invite students to share what they have learned about their friends during the "Hot Seat" activity.
2.  Ensure all students get the opportunity to share.
